Providing Dental Care for the Whole Family

Dr. Maxwell Silver DDS

Dentist

Dr. Silver was born in Alabama, but he has lived in Cheyenne since the age of two. He graduated from Cheyenne’s Central High School and then earned his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University. In 2013, Dr. Silver earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Creighton University in Omaha.

He is a member and treasure elect of the Southeast Wyoming Dental Association.

Dr. Silver has been volunteering for Cheyenne Frontier Days since he was 10 years old, and he is currently part of the CFD Contestants Committee.

In his free time, Dr. Silver enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and three dogs. Dr. Silver's favorite sport is hockey; however, he also enjoys skiing, scuba diving, sailing, shooting, and just about any other activity out there—even playing cricket. Did we mention he is also an avid Jimmy Buffett fan (parrot head).

Dr. Windy Matthews, DMD

Dentist

Dr. Matthews graduated from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and has been in the dental field since she was 17! She started working as a dental assistant right out of high school and soon realized her love for the field. While working as an assistant, she was inspired by the dentists she worked with and their ability to connect with their patients. They also showed her how being a dentist is the perfect mix of science, healthcare, and art.

Dr. Matthews is focused on treating her patients as a whole and giving them the best dental experience possible. She also wants to help her patients achieve their oral health goals, whether that is maintaining function and comfort or maximizing esthetics. Dr. Matthews is a part of the American Dental Association and is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills through continuing education.

Dr. Matthews and her husband moved to Cheyenne in June 2023 to be closer to family and to raise their daughter. They have two dogs and two cats and hope to continue growing their family! In her free time, you can find Dr. Matthews enjoying both the indoors and outdoors with her family and going to church!

Christy Anderson, RDH

Hygienist

Christy has been at Westgate Dental for almost 11 years and has been in practice 17 years. She has been married 21 years and has two fantastic kids.

Christy is the first to admit she has a serious problem—she is a sports fanatic! If you have any doubt in your mind, just take a look at her operatory! It is always covered from top to bottom in Broncos or Rockies paraphernalia, depending on which season it is. Christy is our Westgate family's biggest Denver Broncos fan. Her hobbies include fishing, camping, shooting, golfing. But she is also always watching the Broncos, Rockies, Avalanche, and of course, supporting the athletics her children participate in!

Sue , RDH

Hygienist

Sue was born in upstate New York but has lived in Wyoming since 2014.  She graduated from the dental hygiene program at SUNY Broome in Binghamton, NY. She has been practicing dental hygiene for over 30 years with experience in different areas of dental hygiene including pediatrics, periodontics, orthodontics, and public health.  Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and grandkids.  She also likes to read and run.

Sara Sharpe, RDH

Hygienist

Sara was born and raised in Newfoundland, Canada, but has lived in Wyoming since 2014. She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and graduated from Cheyenne’s LCCC Dental Hygiene Program. She is aware of the anxiety dental work can cause in some patients, and takes great care in providing a positive experience in the dental chair and maintaining personal connections with her patients. Sara has been practicing at Westgate Dental since 2018, and like the rest of the staff she is an animal lover and currently has two dogs, her Cavalier Grace Kelly and Mini Aussie Raven. Her favorite past times are hockey, painting, playing board games, traveling, and hiking.
